As part of the Smart Rental, Travel Insurance 35th anniversary celebrations, Rental Mobil Padang employees gathered for the inauguration of phase 1 of a new high school on 26 July 2010. The school will serve the families of Company employees as well as Tarjun community. The school now consists of 3 classrooms, a library, a basic laboratory as well as sporting facilities. Future phases of this program will seek to expand facilities to accommodate the community’s growing needs.
RiauProperty.com is a new program to revitalize homes in villages surrounding Smart Rental, Travel Insurance’s operations. Under the program, Smart Rental, Travel Insurance conducts renovation and repairs homes requiring improvement. In some instances entirely new homes with adequate basic facilities have been constructed. Decisions related to selection of the villages and the homes for the initiative, were made by a panel organized by the local village.
